This is the absolute brightest upgrade for the Biocube 14 Jr on the market today. The Biocube 14 Jr and Biocube 16 aquariums use identical hoods, and this system is guaranteed to fit both.

This LED Turbo Upgrade System took over 3 months and 23 revisions engineer the best way to pack as much light as possible into the stock hood, with as little modification on your part as possible!

This comes with our premium 14,000K Super Full Spectrum combination, which has proven itself in over 6,000 aquariums around the world! This is fully adjustable using the included digital controller from 4,000K (yellow/white) to 24,000K (purple/blue) and infinitely everywhere in between. With all channels on 100% power, it yields a 14,000K blue, simulating an ocean depth of about 15 feet -20 feet : where most aquarium corals naturally grow. If you want a custom combination for your own choosing, we can make it for you (we just cant guarantee that it will grow corals 4X faster than the natural ocean like our 14,000K Super Full Spectrum does!).

The problem with the factory Biocube 14 LED is that the hood is so incredibly thin, and Steve's LEDs likes to pack an absurdly high amount of high powered LED into all of our fixtures which requires quite a bit of space! We came up with an excellent solution that includes a means to install 3X ultra high quality, name brand, ball bearing, long life cooling fans (all under 30db) and moves over 24CFM (cubic feet per minute) of air through the hood - far more than the stock fan (27db) which only effectively moved about 3 CFM. That said, this upgrade system will be a little bit more audible than the stock lights, but this is the ONLY way to keep LEDs that are substantially brighter running cooler without making huge gaping holes in the hood.

For a premium upgrade at minimal expense, choose the Iridescence Booster upgrade! This upgrade swaps out 4 of the Royal Blue LEDs with 4 Hyper Violet LEDs. It doesn't change the brightness, it only improves the color and makes iridescence explode out of corals. This may increase the amount of purple in the light as well.
