Laser Cutting

Steve's LEDs offers premium high resolution laser cutting of non-metallic materials.

Specifications:

Max work piece size -  35.4″ x 23.6″ x 9" (900x600X225mm)

Max resolution - 1,000 dpi or 0.001"

Kerf (width of cut) - 0.005"

Depth of cut - Depends on material, and up to approx 4".

Materials - If it isn't made of metal, we can probably cut it. All wood, plastics, etc can usually be cut (excluding fiberglass and carbon fiber, and some plastics that the USA EPA prevents us from cutting due to toxic fumes).  We specialize in paper, card stock, acrylic and wood.

Our laser cutter also photo-realistically engraves in most materials, including painted metals and anodized aluminum!  1,000 DPI is higher resolution that most computer printers!

We can make custom acrylic enclosures, custom wood enclosures, personalized photo frames, etc.

The price to get something laser cut depends on the cost of materials and complexity of the design.  We can laser cut something out of a small piece of 1/8" thick black acrylic as low as $2.00!
