Tig Welding
Steve's LEDs has had a full-time TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welder on staff for the past 5 years!
Specifications-
Minimum material thickness - 30 ga sheet
Maximum material thickness - no limit
Cleanliness of weld - TIG welding is the cleanest welding available. No splatter, no mess, no oxidization, no slag and a tiny heat affected zone.
Materials - We have experience with TIG welding Stainless Steel, 6 types of Aluminum, Titanium, mild steel, hardened steel. We are limited to metals that do not contain Zinc (such as brass, bronze, and galvanized coated steel).
Types of joints - Butts, fillets, angles (obtuse and acute), round straight, pipe, curved, linear, logarithmic, progressive, vector, variable amplitude - pretty much if the joint can be welded, we can weld it. Even if you need 1/16" thick aluminum welded to 2" thick aluminum - we can do it!
Bead thickness - 1/16" to 5/8". If you require thicker, we can make multiple passes which is industry standard.
Types of beads - Structural, aesthetic, stack of dimes, recessed, blended, combo, shallow, deep, balanced, ultra clean, brushed or any type you specify.
Did you break a lug off a cast engine block flush with the face? We can replace it with stronger than new! Need a custom heatsink welded together to fit in your enclosure? We are happy to cut it and fit it. Want mounting tabs welding on your device to attach to your vehicle? We'll make it happen!
The cost to get something, like basic steel or aluminum welded is about $1/linear inch of weld bead, and $1 per tack. Steve's takes extra time and care to ensure everything is as precise as a robot could build it (except less expensive than a robot).
