Biocube 32 Splash Guard Repair Kit.

Steve's LEDs Turbo LED upgrade is a very powerful LED system!  Under rare circumstances, if the splash guard becomes dirty, perhaps waterspots, a bit of algae, or debris can reflect light back through the splash guard causing it to heat up.  The more it heats up, it begins to bake and turn yellow.  Eventually this gets very dark colored and creates a snowball effect where it gets worse and worse and eventually can erode a hole in the splash guard.

You could replace the factory splash guard, however that is very expensive and there is a risk of this happening again.  This is a permanent solution that will last the life of the aquarium.  It includes all the components necessary to modify the splash guard using thick tempered glass (not plastic) and is easy to install.  We even include the tools you need!

You can follow the instructions that OctoAquatics have generously provided.

This is heavy 3/16" thick glass, for durability and ease of handling and must be installed on the outside of the splashguard.  If you install it inside the splash guard, you will not have the clearance for your LEDs and this will cause permanent damage to the LED system.  Plus, installing this glass on the outside is much easier!

Instructions brief:
1) Cut out a rectangle using the included rotary tool and the cutting wheel accessory.
2) Clean the cut from flashing and dust.
3) Put sealant around the perimeter of the cutout.
4) Press on the glass firmly to form a permanent seal and let it dry overnight.
5) Reinstall and get back to enjoying your aquarium and never worry about this happening ever again!

1- 10" X 16" X 3/16" Tempered Glass Panel
1- Rotary tool kit with 80pc accessory kit including cutting wheels
1- Syringe of Lexel ultra high quality sealant, superior to silicone with 30 year lifespan

If making this modification sounds daunting, don't worry, chances are that you have a friend or neighbor willing to help you out!

PS: Steves LEDs can't control all the environmental variables in all of our customer's aquariums, and we know you made a good effort to keep your splashguard clean, so this type of issue isn't anybody's fault.  We are on your side and taking one for the team, which is why we are offering this repair kit BELOW cost just for you.   We do care about you and your aquarium!

Just what I needed
So I put in the steves Biocube 32 turbo kit in my tank about a year and a half ago (corals growing like crazy) and got some brown spots on the splash guard. The splash guard feels cheap, and can't handle all the power these LEDs put out. I got this kit, took my time and took 2 beers and 15 min and got it up and running. This is really thick glass, not paper thin plastic like the stock guard, so this sucker is going to last forever and doesn't even get hot like the plastic. If you got brown spots on your clear plastic, just get this.
